It's easy. The editing tool is particularly handy. In another org where we permit photos, editing is a pain. When you are initially looking at the photos the comments are cut off. This is going to be a love/hate relationship. The problem for newbies is that that they don't know where they are on the web/blog. I went to my blog using the correct address and there it was but I couldn't add to it. I had no control whatsoever. Now, I'm sure it is abundantly clear to some that you have to sign in, and if you asked me whether I would have to sign in I guess I would say yes. BUT I thought I was already there because I could SEE the blog.

Perhaps the following instructions would have been helpful:
"To see your blog go to your blog address. You can comment on your post there, but if you want to add a new post then you have to login through whatever account you have established for your blog."

Twenty-three steps. That's more than for alcoholics!

I'm a board member, not a librarian. My county is the second-poorest in Texas. My concern is providing technology--through the library--to those who have little access to it. The problem is getting people to know they need technology or even to care. We gave a presentation on how to do email, and nobody came. Yech.

If this program works out, I'm considering trying to make it available to people in the town. Not sure if I have the time or the strength, but if it could improve the level of technological literacy it would be worth it.
